On the last creative writing class, we had a special guest. We called her Sonya.
Olivia Sonya Aresta is her full name. She has a totally more beautiful name than me.
LOL.
Why do I say she is special? Because she had a big confidence to share all
her stories in front of us. She did not feel shy when she explained all the things
happened, started from her childhood, the reason why she became who she is now,
and also her efforts to survive.
“When I was in elementary school, I prefer played with girls rather than with
boys, because boys played roughly”. Then, the story begins here. When we ask
whether she wore skirt or trousers as her uniform, she said that she wore trousers
at school, but she wore skirt outside of school.
“Of course my parents got shocked with me, but my father really give me a
support for whatever I do, and even my grandpa gave me what I liked, such as
dolls. For my mother, we do not contact each other for around three years.”
She also added that she has to cover all her needs by herself. She does any
bussiness, she does everything to survive, because she knows that her family
feel embarrassed with her and she decided to runaway and take care of herself,
so everything must be done independently.
At the end of the sharing, she added a wise advice for us, “Don’t make your
future children run and go away from you. Treat them well, please.”
